The Round Tabe Dining had great pleasure in cooking for Tom Hay, a food writter from the Harrogate Advertiser. We did several dishes including a traditional South African dish which brought Whaheed’s roots to the table and vegetarian dishes. The dishes were ravioli filed with soft potato and Autumn truffel with parmesan, spring onion and garlic with a lemon and Chardonnay sauce and shaved truffel-
the other starter was Partridge with beetroot geels, cauliflower puree and mixed berry and partridge sauce-
Main course was a traditional South African dish of Pap ( white polenta) with mint, Vleis ( meat) three ways of lamb ( loin, shoulder and rack) with Chakalaka ( spicy egetable stew), marogo puree ( spinache puree) and Pinotage reduction-
the other main course was Tofu Katsu, sticky lemon grass scented rice with black and white sesame seed coating, black bean sauce, Asian pickle veg and a light Thai green sauce.
Dessert- Chocolate and cherry heaven of Chocolate brownie, chocolate ganache, black cherry compote, salted caramel and frozen chocolate mousse and toasted almonds.
